Messages provides real-time communication inside Modora. Use direct conversations for person-to-person communication and project conversations when the discussion should remain connected to a project.

Find a conversation

The conversation list can be searched and filtered by:

  • All conversations
  • Project conversations
  • Direct conversations
  • Unread conversations

Unread counts and recent activity help you return to conversations that need attention.

Start a conversation

Create a direct conversation by choosing the relevant user. Project conversations are associated with a project and may include its authorised members.

Send messages and attachments

Use the composer to write a message and add supported attachments. Messages update in real time while the connection is active.

Available collaboration actions include:

  • Reply to a message
  • Edit or delete your eligible messages
  • Add reactions
  • Pin important messages
  • Copy a link to a specific message
  • Forward one or several selected messages
  • Create a task from a message

Shared content

Conversation details can surface shared media, files, and links. Use these views to find information without scrolling through the entire history.

Create a task from a message

When a discussion becomes actionable:

  1. Open the message actions.
  2. Choose Create task.
  3. Review the generated task name.
  4. Confirm the project and task details.
  5. Assign the work and save.

This preserves the transition from conversation to accountable work.

Google Meet

If Google Meet is configured, use the Meet action to create and attach a meeting link. The first use may ask you to connect your Google account. Workspace integration availability is managed in Integrations.

Copying a message link creates a URL containing the conversation and message identifiers. A user opening it must still have access to that conversation.

Why am I not receiving live messages?+

Check your internet connection and reload Modora. If the issue continues, confirm that your session is active and that you still have access to the conversation.
